About Me

Home » About Me

While it is me out there, alone, pushing my endurance limits as an athlete, I am always aware of the importance of the team around me supporting my ambitions.

I have been competing in endurance sport since 2006. Initially, it was my own learning from an honours degree in Physical Education that helped me produce my training and racing formulas before exercise physiologist Val Burke began coaching me in 2009. Val took me to a new level in endurance sport and I have since enjoyed successes across various sports and in various corners of the world. Highlights so far include standing on podiums in triathlon and adventure races in Europe, Brazil, China, Australia and Canada along with my favourite place to race: New Zealand (including 2x Challenge Wanaka Champion and course record holder and 5x podiums in the famous Speight’s Coast to Coast).

My big goals for the coming years include continuing to be a consistent performer across the elite international triathlon and multisport stages and winning races such as the Speight’s Coast to Coast World Multisport Champs and Ironman distance events all over the world. As proud as I am of my achievements so far – at 31 years of age I believe my best years of racing are still ahead of me.
